HPB

For
non-Harry Potter fans, HBP means Half Blood Prince, book (and movie) 6 in the series.

Yes, I'm a Harry fan. I've read the books, seen the movies.

And yes, I'm one of those who want the movie to follow the book (minor deviations are ok).

After all, we've read (and reread) the books way before seeing the movies.

While the film critics have given the latest movie great reviews, I was disappointed.

If I had seen the movie without reading the book first, I may have enjoyed it
more.

I had read in the HBP reviews that the film departed from the book.
No kidding.

If you haven't seen the movie yet and plan to do so,
stop reading right now.

Some things were changed.
Like certain events at the the beginning and the end.
Book Chapter One: the conversation in the Prime Minister's office;
Movie: there was none. Nada. Zippo.

Some things were added.
The Burrow getting blasted?
Waitaminnit! Will it be rebuilt for the wedding in movie 7?
Will there even be a wedding in movie 7 because there was no mention of it in movie 6?

Not once was Dumbledore's hand mentioned.
And this was important because of the Horcruxes.
But.
Horcruxes took a backseat to snogging.
Whoa.
Horcruxes are, err, the crux of the story.

And the movie equivalent of Chapter 27, a crucial part of the story ... was changed.

And I didn't like the music over the end credits either.
