Hillary and Funny Money

Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign announced that it will give all money donated by Norman Hsu, a major contributor, to charity after it was revealed that Hsu was a fugitive from the law. The Wall Street Journal reports that Hsu, a Hong Kong businessman, is listed as one of the top 20 Democratic fund raisers in the country and is one of Clinton's "HillRaisers" — people who fork over at least $100,000 to Clinton's campaign.

Hsu's name surfaced after a records search revealed that some of the people he asked to contribute to Democratic causes don't appear to be able to afford the donations; Like the Paw family of San Francisco family: Seven adults who live in a small home under the airport flight path, who have average jobs, yet managed $213,000 in donations. Winkle Paw, 35, is employed by one of Hsu's New York companies.

'Hill' is no stranger to funny money.

Another Hillary contributor was Abdul Rehman Jinnah, a Pakistani immigrant wanted by federal authorities on charges he channeled $30,000 in illegal contributions to Hillary Clinton's presidential campaign fund.
The FBI is looking for Los Angeles businessman Jinnah, who vanished soon after his grand-jury indictment for violating federal election laws last May. Clinton's campaign said Jinnah's allegedly illegal contributions would be donated to charity.

Then there's Johnny Chung. In February, 1995, Chung handed a $50,000 check to Maggie Williams, Hillary Clinton's chief of staff. Chung later noted that the money came directly from the hands of Gen. Ji, then head of the PLA military intelligence department. Ji handed the money to Chung with the words,"We like your president (Clinton). We want him re-elected."

And convicted "Chinagate" figure Moctar Riady, whose family is a direct link to the Chinese army. According to a U.S. Senate report, Moctar and his billion dollar company the Lippo Group, had direct tied to Chinese military intelligence. The relationship between the Clintons and the Riadys goes all the way back to Arkansas when Moctar bought out the Little Rock Worthen Bank. James Riady pled guilty to passing illegal money through Hillary and Bill in the form of illegal donations. Moctar's personal gardener once handed Bill Clinton a $450,000 check with the words "James Riady sent me."

And.... Galagate!
Hillary Clinton's 2000 Senate campaign committee likely violated the law when it underreported $1 million-plus in campaign contributions from Hollywood mogul Peter Paul, according to a four-year investigation by the Federal Election Commission.

A videotape shows Hillary Clinton speaking in 2000 with Peter Paul, a Hollywood mogul, and comic book icon Stan Lee about a massive fundraising event for her 2000 Senate race. Paul spent about $2 million of his own money to produce the event. The legal contribution limit to a candidate then was $2,000
.

Don't bother asking 'Hill' about any of this; the smartest woman on earth won't remember any of it.

D is for Disenfranchisement ...

... And Democratic Donkey Dung

The Democratic National Committee has decreed that Florida Democrats will not have a vote in selecting a Democratic presidential nominee unless the state of Florida toes the DNC's line and changes the date of the state primary.

The DNC’s Rules and Bylaws Committee voted that Florida’s plan is non-compliant with party rules, and gave the state 30 days to fix it. Otherwise, the state will lose 100 percent of its delegates.

Florida Senator Bill Nelson said that the issue would be "whether or not a political party's rules can supersede someone's right to vote and to have that vote count."

Members of Florida's congressional delegation sent a letter to DNC Chair Howard "Yeaaaa" Dean and threatened legal action if their voters were "disenfranchised."

The DNC rules committee was unmoved by the "disenfranchisement" argument. They also want to send a message to Michigan which is on the verge of passing a law moving that state's primary to January 15th, further complicating the primary calendar.

Disenfranchised.
That's a fancy word for saying 'your vote doesn't count'.

So much for democracy.

A Perfect Storm

August 29, 2007

Two years ago today Hurricane Katrina struck the Gulf Coast.

Not just New Orleans, although Mayor Ray Nagin and the residents of the Big Easy would have us believe that.

Here's what I remember from watching the news two years ago:

There was adequate warning that a hurricane was coming.

There was a mandatory evacuation order.

The Democrat Governor said the state of Louisiana was prepared.

The Democrat Mayor of New Orleans said the city was prepared.

New Orleans was the only city affected by the hurricane.

Mississippi is reported to have a tree blown down.

New Orleans has no white people.

The hurricane destroyed only black families' property.

If you're a New Orleans police officer, leave your post and loot the Wal-Mart.

When you are hungry after a hurricane, steal a big screen TV.

Only black family members got separated in the rescue efforts.

Ignore warnings to evacuate and somebody else will risk their life to come get you.

Don't thank those that came to help rescue you, shoot at them instead.

Trash the place that is your refuge.

Bitch because the government hasn't given you a debit card yet. And it isn't enough anyway.

Everything was Bush's fault even though the idiot Governor and idiot Mayor told everyone that they were prepared.

Don't help yourself when somebody else will do it for you.

Do help yourself to whatever you can get, lawfully or otherwise.

People think we should be ashamed.

I am ashamed ... of the police officers who left their posts and did not return,  of the police officers who were pushing shopping carts alongside the other looters, of the people who took their $2000 debit cards and bought $800 handbags, of the stupidity and greed and finger-pointing, and most of all, I'm ashamed of all those who are unwilling to do something for themselves, to get over it and get on with it.

```````````````````````````````````````
Rep. Tom Tancredo (R/CO), citing administration figures, said that $114 billion has been spent on the effort to rebuild a large stretch of the Gulf Coast after the Hurricane Katrina hit New Orleans in August 2005.
"It is time the taxpayer gravy train left the New Orleans station. The amount of money that has been wasted on these so-called ‘recovery’ efforts has been mind-boggling. Enough is enough.
“At some point, state and local officials and individuals have got to step up to the plate and take some initiative. The mentality that people can wait around indefinitely for the federal taxpayer to solve all their worldly problems has got to come to an end.”
The lawmaker criticized in particular the amount that has been wasted through fraud and abuse, estimated at $1 billion.
“This whole fiasco has been a perfect storm of corruption and incompetence at all levels.”
My tax money should not pay to rebuild a house, a sports stadium or a floating casino.
My tax money shouldn't go to rebuild a city that is below sea level.
If you want to live below sea level, join the Navy.
Pork Barrel Politics
Are you outraged by the appalling Congressional spending of your tax dollars?
No? Then you probably don't know
what Congress is really doing with our money.
Last month, the House and the Senate passed emergency supplemental appropriations bills to continue funding military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan, providing an excellent opportunity for some Congressmen to 'earmark' funds for their favorite pet projects with no regard to
fiscal responsibility or national priorities like our troops.
Last month's troop funding bills were especially outrageous and included all of the following items, completely unrelated to our war efforts:
$74 million for peanut storage costs
$50 million for asbestos mitigation at the U.S. Capitol Plant
$60.4 million for salmon fisheries in the Klamath River region in California and Oregon
$100 million for citrus assistance
$16 million for security upgrades to House of Representatives office buildings
$3.5 million for guided tours of the US Capitol
$20 million for cricket eradication
$40 million for Christmas, ornamental, nursery and potted tree assistance
$25 million for spinach growers
$95 million for dairy farmers
$13 million for Ewe land replacement and retention
$6.4 million for the House of Representatives' salaries and expense accounts
In fiscal year 2006, Congress stuffed 9,963 projects into the appropriations bills, and wasted $29 billion of our tax dollars.
$13.5 million for the International Fund for Ireland, which helped finance the World Toilet Summit
$6,435,000 for wood utilization research
$1,000,000 for the Water-free Urinal Conservation Initiative
$500,000 for the Sparta Teapot Museum in Sparta, N.C
$1,300,000 for berry research in Alaska
$4,200,000 for shrimp aquaculture research
$1,000,000 for methane desalination systems in Hawaii
$8,270,000 for breath alcohol testing equipment
$2,300,000 for the International Fertilizer Development Center
Did any of these have an impact on the quality of your life?
Congressional Fool: Bob Filner:
Headline: Rep. Bob Filner Charged With Assault on Virginia Airport Worker
Mr Filner had a meltdown when his luggage did not appear on the baggage carousel fast enough.
He stormed into the United Airlines baggage office and insisted on knowing where his bag was. When told by the busy agent that he would have to wait his turn, he refused to step back and was then told to leave.
He left, taking it upon himself to enter an area authorized for airline employees only and refused to leave when asked by an airline employee.
Apparently Mr Filner was the only prima donna awaiting his luggage as there were no reports of any other passengers exhibiting such behavior.
Filner's office said in a statement late Monday, "Suffice it to say now, that the story that has appeared in the press is factually incorrect and the charges are ridiculous."
Of course. It's not his fault. Spin, spin, spin.
Security rules and regulations are only for the regular people, not the entitled few.
It was also interesting that the afore-mentioned press did NOT mention Mr Filner's party affiliation (Democrat). Had he been a member of the other party, no doubt that the headline would have been much more specific.
But I digress.
Perhaps Mr Filner was still a little stressed after facing considerable criticism in the California Democratic primary last year after a long-time rival accused him of corruption for supporting a Mexican water-treatment company that gave him large contributions.
Or maybe it was residual stress from the obscenity-hurling episode after a briefing with two Veterans Affairs officials about a year ago?
Or could it be from paying his wife more than a half million dollars for campaign consulting?
Does anyone remember when a Congressman who was elected to 'serve the people' actually did just that??
UPDATE: November 26, 2007
U.S. Rep. Bob Filner, D-San Diego, has entered a plea days before he was set for trial on assault and battery charges over allegations he pushed a United Airlines baggage employee at Dulles International Airport. As part of the deal he will write a letter of apology to the baggage worker.
Kunkel alleged in a criminal complaint that Filner barged past other customers, screamed at employees and repeatedly pushed her. He yelled “You can’t stop me,” according to her complaint.
“At the time, it wouldn’t have occurred to me that entering an airport office under these circumstances would be considered trespassing. But I understand now that, since I was told to stay out, it can be considered trespass. That’s why I’m entering what I understand is called an Alford plea: I did, in fact, go back there,” Filner said.
And this arrogant ass makes our laws.
President Pinocchio
"Clinton's an unusually good liar. Unusually good. Do you realize that?" -- Bob Kerrey [D-Neb.], Senator and Chairman of Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee; Esquire, 1996
Some of Clinton's bigger and better ones:
"I want you to listen to me. I'm going to say this again. I did not have sexual relations with that woman, Miss Lewinsky. I never told anybody to lie, not a single time, never. These allegations are false. And I need to go back to work for the American people." - January 26, 1998
The president lied to everyone about the affair. He repeatedly invoked claims of executive and attorney-client privilege, arranged joint-defense agreements, attacked his accusers for exposing the facts. All with one goal in mind: to keep himself from ever having to confess the affair, let alone apologize to the nation for it. -- USA Today editorial 9/10/98
"I worked hard to try to kill him. I authorized a finding for the CIA to kill him. We contracted with people to kill him. I got closer to killing him than anybody has gotten since." - Sept. 24, 2006
The man who was in the Soviet Union demonstrating against the American military during Vietnam, who as President depleted our armed forces, is now - in his own mind- The Defense President.
He criticizes the Bush Administration for not doing enough, proclaims himself the champion of effective military action, and implies none too subtly that the fight against terrorism would go better if we had a Clinton in the White House instead of a Bush.
The bipartisan 9/11 Commission concluded that President Clinton had flatly refused to allow the military or CIA to kill Osama bin Laden. Clinton's instructions were that bin Laden should be taken, if at all, alive not dead. CIA officials reported that this instruction cut the chance of success in half.
"This isn't mere spin. It's full-scale invention." -- Ronald A. Cass, "Bill Clinton: Play It as It Lies"; September 25, 2006
"'The whole tide of history has shown us that if you lie loud enough and long enough that no matter how ludicrous the lie is people will believe it." -- James Carville, Democratic strategist; United Press International; 8/8/84
America Divided: Sanctuary Cities
The War Between the States was fought from 1861-1865, engaging 2,213,363 troops (Union + Confederate = all American) and accounted for more casualties than all other U.S. wars combined. The war produced about 970,000 casualties with about 373,458 deaths in Battle.
The Civil War was fought because President Abraham Lincoln was determined to preserve the Union of the United States.
The United States is a Republic governed by the vote of its citizens, NOT by self-serving city-states catering to non-citizens.
Today some American cities have chosen to shrug off the blood sacrifice of our forefathers and defy federal law by becoming Sanctuary cities.
Welcome to New America, where law enforcement looks the other way, where businesses pay the lowest possible wages, where the media is tolerant in their reporting and where the American taxpayer foots the bill for it all.
  Where the message is that our nation's laws do not have to be obeyed and contempt for the law is encouraged.
  Where spineless city councils cave in to businesses that demand access to slave-wage labor and where a cowardly, corrupt Congress panders to a voting bloc.
  Where terrorists wanting to kill Americans come on over and wait in sleeper cells.
Some try to justify it as the protection of "immigrant rights".
Illegal aliens are not immigrants - immigrants come to the U.S. legally, and maintain their legal presence.
The United States is a nation of immigrants, yes, but immigrants who swear allegiance to the American flag and to no other.
Illegal entry into the United States is a misdemeanor, INA section 275, (8 US Code Section 1324). Repeated illegal entry is a felony.
"When U.S. cities and even entire states declare themselves to be "sanctuaries" for illegal aliens, they act outside the law, and by their actions could be charged with a felony for each violation of federal law by "concealing, harboring, or sheltering illegal aliens" (8 U.S. Code, sections 1324 and 1325; Immigration and Naturalization Act sections 274 and 275). -- James H. Walsh, Sanctuary Cities Defy the Law; April 16, 2007
What is the impact of millions of illegal aliens in this country?
1) Crime: The headlines speak for themselves.
     Visit the
Victims of Illegal Aliens Memorial and learn about some terrible consequences sanctuary policies have had on American families.
2) The Environment: Millions of illegal aliens = water shortages, atmospheric pollution, urban sprawl, vehicular congestion (and accidents). Interestingly, environmentalists do not complain about damage to sensitive ecosystems that the millions of illegal aliens presently in the U.S. incurred while crossing the border.
3) Health: Illegal aliens do not have medical examinations to ensure that they are disease free. The United States National Institutes of Health (NIH) have been concerned for years about the re-introduction of the polio virus and rubella (German measles) into the U.S. Cholera, TB HIV, and polio are other diseases the NIH fear will be carried by immigrants not properly medically screened.
4) Cost to Taxpayers: Federal law requires U.S. hospitals to treat all patients needing emergency care regardless of citizenship.
Many Mexican women cross the U.S.-Mexico border to give birth and deliver “anchor babies.” The childrens' families get all the benefits of American citizenship – such as medicaid, education, social security supplemental payments – and live in Mexico.
Officials in sanctuary communities whine that they don’t have enough money for health services, educational services, welfare programs, community facilities, and utilities.
American taxpayers pick up the tab.
We're expected to accept increased taxes to house an enormous illegal alien prison population and to pay for free health care for people who have broken the laws of the United States to be here.
We're expected to accept having our children taught in Spanish in our schools to accommodate people in the country illegally as our culture is replaced by a foreign multicultural invasion.
We're expected to accept having to 'Push 1 for English' when English is our national language.
We're expected to accept having to foot the bill for millions of illegals who contribute not one cent in taxes or to Social Scurity.
What can we do?
Call your Congresspersons (House and Senate) and ask for aggressive interior enforcement of US immigration laws.
Ask that federal funds be cut off to those cities (and states) who defy federal law.
At the state and local level, ask your public officials what your community's policies are in regards to illegal aliens. If there are official or unofficial sanctuary policies, ask that they be repealed.
Vote out the legislators who turn a deaf ear or who tell you one thing and then do another.
Until short-sighted, self-serving, cowardly, corrupt legislators are held to doing to what they swore to do - support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies foreign and domestic - our country will be at risk.
"America will never be destroyed from the outside. If we falter and lose freedoms, it will be because we destroyed ourselves."
Redeploy John Murtha
"John Murtha, a Marine who traded in his proud Eagle Globe and Anchor Marine Corps symbol for the jackass symbol of the defeatist Democrat party." -- Phil Brennan
"Once a Marine, Always a Marine"....
Maybe not always.
U.S. Marines who are no longer active in the Corps an
d who have served honorably are referred to as Former Marines.
Two men who deserve the title EX-Marine are Lee Harvey Oswald and U.S. Congressman John Murtha.
AKA 'The Beltway Bandit', Murtha, 74, is known for his fondness for the pork barrel spending of taxpayers' money, for ABSCAM, for being a Congressional bully, and for single-handedly condemning and convicting U.S. Marines, declaring them guilty of an alleged massacre of civilians in Haditha, Iraq, November 2005.
He guaranteed that an investigation would determine “our troops overreacted because of the pressure on them, and they killed innoce
nt civilians in cold blood.”
His words were widely broadcast over al-Jazeera.
Rep. Murtha made these comments before any formal investigations had been completed. Indeed, even before being briefed by the USMC.
Yesterday, two of those Marines had all charges against
them dismissed by the investigating officer.
After an 'exhaustive review', Lt. Gen. James Mattis cited the difficult battle conditions and a “shadowy enemy” whose forces hid among civilians:
“With the dismissal of these charges Lance Cpl. Sharratt may conclude that he did his best to live up to the standards, followed by U.S. fighting men throughout our many wars, in the face of life or death decisions made in a matter of seconds in combat,” Mattis said. “As he has always remained cloaked in the presumption of innocence, with this dismissal of charges, he remains in the eyes of the law — and in my eyes, innocent.”
What does Big Mouth Murtha have to say about this?No one knows and apparently no one at his office knows either.
Whoever is answering his office phone is hanging up on callers who ask if the Congressman will be apologizing to the Marines who have been cleared in the investigation.
It's been suggested that perhaps he won’t comment because the investigation is ongoing.Why the concern about influencing the investigation now and not back in 2006 when he demonized these Marines on national television
before the investigation?
Rep. Murtha should be asked to explain why he wasn’t initially concerned with Lance Cpl. Sharratt’s constitutional right to a fair trial.
Isn't the violation of a soldier’s constitutional rights by a congressman some sort of an offense? I find it very offensive.
Here's an idea:
Call Mr. Murtha's office and let him know what you think:
Ask to speak to a Legislative Assistant
2423 Rayburn HOB
Washington DC 20515
DC: 202-225-2065
PA: 814-535-2642
Here's a better idea: Redeploy John Murtha right out of Congress.
Hillary's 'Rapport' with the Military
Those who serve our country in uniform share the qualities of honor, di
scipline,
and courage ...
qualities of which the Clintons know nothing.
In a recent speech at a fund-raising dinner Bill Clinton said his wife...
"has strong support among military voters and that she is up to the task of rebuilding the nation's military after years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan."
And we know we can believe everything the draft-dodging ex-President s
ays. NOT.
Clinton says his wife's seat on the Senate Armed Services Committee has helped her to build rapport among military leaders.
One of Hillary's first steps as a Senator was wangling a seat on the Senate Armed Services Committee, no small feat for a Junior Senator.
Her usurpation of Mary Landrieu's seat is another topic.
The Hill-Billy Clintons have long been known for their disdain (HIS word was loathing) for the military.
HE was the first draft-dodger to be elected as Commander-in-Chief.
The Clintons wanted to banish military uniforms from the White House.
HE halved the military budget and reduced military personnel by 40%, but was not shy about deploying it more than any other president in history.
SHE was known to have uniformed military officers serve canapes at White House functions. And there was a rumor that SHE once threw a cup of coffee in a young Marine's face after he refused to leave his post to fetch her another cup.
Why would someone who has so little respect for those who serve their country in uniform want to be on the Senate Armed Services Committee?
Hillary Clinton is posing as a supporter of the military without backtracking on her radical agenda one bit.
Consider this: back in 2003, Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness (CMR), warned that Hillary Clinton would "become extremely influential in reorganizing the military to fit her radical left-wing feminist agenda."
Donnelly predicted:
"SHE will be able to review promotions of officers, members of the Joint Chiefs of Staff and numerous other issues near and dear to the hearts of our fighting forces and of paramount importance to our security and the lives of millions of Americans; will be well-placed to blackball military officers and top brass who don’t toe her line on such issues as putting women in hand-to-hand combat. She will be able to bargain, and say to military officers and those in authority over them, ‘I can get you what you want and help your promotion; now here’s what I want.’”
This rapport sounds a little one-sided.
P.S. : Paragraphs 4 & 5
"Americans of all political persuasions are coming to the sad realization that Hillary Clinton...is a congenital liar."-- William Safire
Deja Vu
The Vietnam War was the first war we watched up close and personal every night on television.
We were winning the war, until Walter Cronkite, "the most trusted man in America", declared that the Vietnam War was unwinnable.
Exhibit #1:
February 27, 1968 ....
"Who won and who lost in the great Tet offensive against the cities?
I'm not sure ...
"Mired in a Stalemate"
 This is Walter Cronkite. Good night."
American public opinion changed.
The North Vietnamese realized that they didn't have to win militarily, they only had to outlast the will of the American people, who were already sick of seeing husbands and sons, fathers and brothers coming home in body bags.
So, we declared a truce, pulled out our troops, and cut off funding to the South Vietnamese; the North Vietnamese restrengthened, the South Vietnamese government fell, and thousands of South Vietnamese were sent to 're-education camps' or killed outright.
Since then, even our former enemies have admitted that they did not win on the battlefield, but in the American Congress and in the American defeatist media.
Exhibit #2:
"What we still don't understand is why you Americans stopped the bombing of Hanoi. You had us on the ropes. If you had pressed us a little harder, just for another day or two, we were ready to surrender! It was the same at the battles of TET. You defeated us! We knew it, and we thought you knew it. But we were elated to notice your media were definitely helping us. They were causing more disruption in America than we could in the battlefields.
We were ready to surrender.
You had won!" --
General Vo Nguyen Giap, North Vietnam, TET primary strategist, from his memoirs).
Exhibit #2a:
"We know we can't beat you on the battlefield, but we can beat you on the streets of New York, Washington, D.C., and San Francisco." -- the North Vietnamese Son Tay POW camp commander to Commander Paul Galanti, U.S. Navy, American POW.
The generation of the 1960s that now inhabits the White House and the halls of Congress has apparently learned nothing from the disaster of Vietnam.
American media, most of it blatantly one-sided, oversees the message of doom and gloom and failure every night on television, and on many more channels than in the 1960's.
Public opinion polls are once again driving politics.
Politicians have threatened to cut off funding - not to the government of Iraq - but to our own troops!
And, yes, one political fool has declared that this war is lost.
Exhibit #3:
Senator Harry Reid: "This war is lost." April 19,2007
We can still lose this war, but it will be lost politically.
American troops in Iraq have had their hands tied with "rules of engagement" based on political, rather than military, considerations.
The Islamic insurgents are hoping for the same thing as the North Vietnamese Communists did- to outlast American public opinion until American troops are pulled out without successfully completing their mission.
Fool me once ....
"Fool me once, shame on you.
Fool me twice shame on me."
-- Chinese proverb
It's early yet, but I am already plenty worried about the Hillbilly Clintons returning to
the White House.
And make no mistake, although they pretty much live apart now, if SHE gets elected HE will be there, too.
Advising. Helping. Mentoring.
Another Clinton Co-presidency.
Do we really want to go through that again?
Let's review:
While touted for it's roaring economy (inherited from the Reagan years), HIS eight years as Crybaby, err, Commander in Chief left the U.S. military depleted and demoralized, the U.S. intelligence community in chaos, a foreign policy ticking time bomb (al-Qaeda, Iran, Iraq, North Korea, China), and a legacy of scandals and dirty politics stretching all the way back to Arkansas.
Let's not forget the thankfully failed fiasco of Hillarycare, which SHE has threatened to revive, albeit in a new and improved (and probably scarier) version.
SHE has already fooled the residents of the state of New York twice.
She’s not in the U.S. Senate to represent New York. She used the Senate as a platform for her presidential quest.
Anyone who couldn't see that coming, shame on you.
Why should the American people have to pay the price, bear the burden, and suffer the consequences for a 'secret pact' made between these two power-obsessed fools?
Shame on us, if we let them.
