Not Forgotten: America's Veterans

If you can read this, thank a teacher.
If you are reading it in English, thank a member of the United States military."
"Because as I look around at the state of this nation and see all of the weak little pampered candy-asses that are whining about this or protesting that, I’d be afraid to leave the fate of this nation entirely up to them." -- A US soldier in Iraq on why he re-enlisted.

"We sometimes forget, but freedom isn't free."
-- Johnny Spann, father of CIA officer Mike Spann,
the first American casualty in the war against terror

It is the Soldier, not the reporter who has given us freedom of press

It is the Soldier, not the poet who has given us freedom of speech
It is the Soldier, not the campus organizer who gives us freedom to demonstrate
It is the Soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and who's coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.
-- Father Dennis Edward O'Brien
