Clintonian* Version of The Good, The Bad and The Ugly

November 13th, 1999

The Good: President Bill Clinton agrees to pay Paula Jones $850,000 to drop her sexual harassment lawsuit.

The Bad: Paula Jones' lawyers get the lion's share of $850,000 settlement;
Jones will collect only 200,000

The Ugly: on January 6, 1998, less than two
weeks before she was to meet Clinton face-to-face during his deposition, Jones announced that the Justice Department was looking into how she became the target of an IRS audit.

The Clintons were infamous for wielding IRS audits like a weapon against their "enemies".

Amongst the auditees:

Billy Dale, 1993, White House Travel Office Chief - a nonpolitical WH worker who served presidents since JFK; he & 6 coworkers were summarily dismissed on Hillary's orders because she wanted 'those slots for our people'; to justify Dale's firing the Clinton WH accused him of embezzlement (acquitted in less than 90 minutes)-cost to the taxpayers $500,000; Travelgate investigators uncovered Hillary Clinton memo stating IRS commissioner was personally on top of the Dale audit.

and ...

Clinton critics: Kent Masterson Brown (Hillary-care critic); IRS critic Shelly Davis; Patricia Mendoza (who confronted Bubba at a public event after the 1996 terrorist attack on Khobar Towers AF base); Bill O'Reilly (FOX news); Chuck Harder - radio host

Clinton 'women': Gennifer Flowers, Paula Jones, Juanita Broaddrick

Conservative publications: The National Review & the American Spectator,
Conservative Groups: The Christian Coalition, Citizens for a Sound Economy, Oliver North's Freedom Alliance, NRA & Fortress America

Just as Congress was beginning to take note, IRS Commissioner and Yale friend Margaret Richardson resigned in 1997
