Academic Superstars? NOT

Not hearing about THIS on the MSM national news, are we?

Columbia social work program run by former prisoners

by Perry Chiaramonte:

In the hallowed halls of Columbia University, a nest of ex-cons — who have served time for murder, attempted murder, robbery and assault — hold court on their unique brand of social justice for admiring students enrolled in the school's social work program, a FoxNews.com investigation has found.

The ex-cons work for or with the Criminal Justice Initiative (CJI), co-founded in 2009 by former Weather Underground operative and Columbia adjunct professor Kathy Boudin, who pleaded guilty to felony murder for her role in an infamous 1981 armed robbery that left two police officers and a security guard dead. And while that case was well-publicized, the group is hardly upfront about the “practical experience” of Boudin and others associated with the CJI.

Boudin was a member of radical leftist group the Weather Underground, which was responsible for numerous bombings in the 1960s and 1970s, including ones at the Pentagon, Capitol Building and New York's police headquarters.

The group was co-founded by William Ayers and his wife Bernadine Dohrn, who themselves went on to long careers in academia in Chicago. The couple was appointed the legal guardians of Boudin's son while she was in prison and has been linked to the early days of President Obama's political career.

Ayers and his wife were even in attendance for CJI's "Removing the Bars" conference in 2012.

"Hung out with Angela Davis, Bill and Bernadine Ayers, Kathy Boudin & others! Wow #removingbars #removingthebars We had a great kickoff event," tweeted Ronin Davis, then head of the Criminal Justice Caucus, a CJI student-leadership group.

The group holds frequent on-campus events, where a common theme is a curious vision of prison reform that seems not to include punishment. Some of the panel discussions at these events include: “How do we DE-carcerate?” and “Society’s Perceptions of the Formerly Incarcerated.”

In 1981, a 38-year-old Boudin, along with several other members of the Weather Underground and the Black Liberation Army, attempted to rob a Brink’s armored truck in Nanuet, N.Y. A security guard was gunned down during the initial robbery and two police officers were killed in a subsequent shootout. Although Boudin did not fire any weapons, her role as getaway driver earned her a sentence of 20 years to life. She was paroled in August 2003.

John Hanchar, brother-in-law of Nyack Police Officer Edward O’ Grady, who was killed in the Brink's robbery, told FoxNews.com it is distressing to see Boudin and other violent criminals treated like academic superstars.

“That’s the worst thing I could have heard,” Hanchar said. “My sister had three children and she raised them into good people and what [Boudin] did was take their father from them.

“It’s terrible that she has murderers working with her at a school," he continued. "I could see if they had someone speak who committed robbery and served their time, but murderers? It’s not right.”

My opinion: It is NOT right that the people who are responsible for teaching our children are being themselves taught and influenced by radicals, murderers, domestic terrorists.

Making a Difference

 William Ayers, unrepentant Domestic Terrorist

wakes up every morning thinking about how he's going to  make a difference ...

like ending capitalism or making a revolution, but acknowledged that he "goes to bed every night disappointed.

And aren't we glad for that.

Yes, He Did (?)

Was Barack Hussein Obama’s biography, Dreams From My Father, actually written by an unrepentant domestic terrorist who lived in Obama's neighborhood?

According to William Ayers, that unrepentant domestic terrorist who lived in Obama's neighborhood, the answer is   YES.

Via Anne Leary Backyard Conservative  :

... unprompted he said–I wrote Dreams From My Father. I said, oh, so you admit it. He said – Michelle asked me to.
... I said I believe you probably heavily edited it. He said – I wrote it.

The unrepentant domestic terrorist who got away with murder claims authorship.

The social progressive community organizer who managed to get elected POTUS claims authorship.

So which one is the lying liar?

Boston College Gets A Clue, Students Don't

Boston College has uninvited Domestic Terrorist William Ayers from speaking on campus:
Boston College yesterday abruptly withdrew two student groups’ invitation to former radical William Ayers to speak on campus Monday.
... Ayers was a founding member of the violent radical-left anti-war group the Weather Underground, which was blamed for a series of bombings that killed several people.
Ayers, a professor of education at the University of Illinois, Chicago, was due to speak at Boston College on education reform and civic engagement at the invitation of Americans for Informed Democracy and the College Democrats. Ayers could not be reached last night, but before the decision was announced, he said: “This isn’t Saudi Arabia or Cuba. Speech is something we believe in in a democracy.”
Yes, and Ayers has also said:
“I don’t regret setting bombs. I feel we didn’t do enough.” Asked whether he would do it again, he answers, “I don’t want to discount the possibility.”

"Free as a bird. Guilty as sin. America is a great country."
Yes, it is.

But ....

But student organizers reached last night said they want to try to hold the speech off-campus.
“All of us who have put a lot of hard work into planning and defending this event are really disappointed because we had hoped this would be an open academic forum for someone who’s widely respected,” said College Democrats member Melissa Roberts, 21. “We’re going to make sure this respected academic gets heard.”
Melissa, just what is it that you respect about William Ayers?

His ability to get away with murder and mayhem?

How about having the Schroeder family heard?

Media Moron, the Local Edition

I was watching WESH-2 News, our local NBC news-affiliate, last night.

There was a report on William Ayers, co-founder of the radical Weathermen, speaking at FSU.

JIM PAYNE (why do these guys all look alike?) actually said, "Ayers used to pal around with terrorists."

Excuse me, Jimbo, but
Billy the Bomber Ayers WAS a terrorist, not just a pal of them.

And he is unrepentant about it.

Whether you wrote the story _ or were reading what somebody else wrote, you should make sure that whatever comes out of your mouth is factual.

It's too bad that the Society of Professional Journalist's Code of Ethics  is merely a guide, not a rule book.

Is This Guy Kidding?

William Ayers, UNREPENTANT DOMESTIC TERRORIST, is now calling himself an 'extreme vandal'.

"We did carry out symbolic acts of extreme vandalism ..."
Symbolic?
You set bombs off in public places.
And you would have blown up US soldiers and civilians at Ft. Dix in 1970 if the bombs intended for them hadn't detonated early, killing the 3 'extreme vandals' who happened to be assembling them. Recovered in the rubble were four 12″ pipe-bombs filled with dynamite, using roof nails as shrapnel designed to add lethality to the blast, and more than 50 sticks of dynamite, some of it fused in eight-stick bundles that could level entire buildings.

Extreme Vandalism?
This must be the politically correct term for domestic terrorism.

According to Merriam-Webster's OnLine dictionary:
Terrorism - violent or destructive acts (as Bombing) committed by groups in order to intimidate populations or government.

"I was cast in the “unrepentant terrorist” role.."
You were, and are, unrepentant.

"I don't regret setting bombs. I feel we didn't do enough."
You were a terrorist.
And you got away with it because of a technicality.

This unrepentant "extreme vandal" is teaching your kids.

No, he's not kidding.

Read all of his pretty, self-serving words here.

I'm surprised this guy is not calling himself an 'overly aggressive pacifist'.

Probably.
