Congressional Fool of the Day: Mark Begich

"Begich's staff initially said he missed the vote because the "polar vortex" impeded his travel.

Later, they admitted he was in Hawaii for a conference and two fundraisers for his reelection in November."

Return of the Motor-Mouth Moron

Florida Dummycrat Alan Grayson managed to get himself re-elected to Congress in 2012.

Since our Congressional districts were rezoned, I could not vote against the motor-mouth moron again.

So much for hoping that his hiatus from Congress might have made him a bit more reasonable (=sane).

Comment:

sharonanntomal
Grayson was always an idiot and remains so. A key point to remember, whenever a far left wacko brings up the race card in any fashion, it means they are losing on FACTS. Think about it, if this clown Grayson thought for one second he had a winning hand, he wouldn't drop these racist bombs.

Thought for the Tax-Paying Americans

I wonder how many of the Congressional millionaires, Like Darrell, John Kerry, and Nancy Pelosi, will be paying their fair share of taxes.

Hopefully they did not miss Joe Biden's memo:

“Wealthy people are just as patriotic as middle-class people, as poor people, and they know they should be doing more. We’re not supposed to have a system with one set of rules for the wealthy and one set of rules for everyone else.”

 Unlike this guy:

$16,432,706,000,000.00

That's:
16 trillion, 432 billion, 706 million dollars

that this country, the USA, is in debt.

And yet, Congress, the people we elect to represent us, has just passed fiscal legislation that includes about $76 billion worth of special-interest-tax-breaks for you and me  Hollywood, Puerto Rico rum producers, the alternative energy industry and other special interests.

The same idiots morons lawmakers are now lambasting the decision to add all the goodies at the last minute.

So why pass it, you lawmakers idiots, morons?

I dunno if the  $9.7-billion-'Sandy'-bill  the new US Congress has passed  to help pay flood insurance claims is included in the $16 Trillion+ figure, but I'm guessing not..

And yes, I remember back in 2008  when Obummer promised

NO MORE PORK

Yeah, Right.

Junk Mail

As I was checking my e-mail the other day, a message pops up telling me that a message has been placed in the Junk mail folder.

So I checked and guess what!

It was an e-letter from my U.S. senator who is up for re-election.

How apropos.

In Case You Were Wondering

Congress Logs Most FUTILE Legislative Year on Record

Congress accomplished less in 2011 than ANY other year in history.

NO Surprise here:

Spokesmen for Senate Majority Leader Harry ('Dingy') Reid, Nevada Democrat, and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, Kentucky Republican, did not respond to questions about the lack of action.

So what DID they do?
Of the bills the 112th Congress did pass, the majority were housekeeping measures, such as naming post office buildings or extending existing laws.

And don't forget the spending, the disgusting, monumental Spending!

Nancy Pelosi: Queen of the Congressional Fools

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) and the same nitwit who actually said:

"We have to pass the (Healthcare) bill so that you can find out what's in it."

   and

"The American people voted to restore integrity and honesty in Washington DC, and the Democrats intend to lead the most honest, most open and most ethical Congress in history" ...

Has now said,

“It can clearly be labeled the Republican do-nothing Congress. It’s a year of missed opportunities and made-up crises.”

Well, Nancy, The Republicans are trying to rectify / amend / undo / neutralize the damage that the screwed-up Dummycrat-controlled Congress (Senate AND House) perpetuated on the American people when you presided over the House.

And the last time I checked, the Dummycrats control the Senate.

Harry Reid: Blithering Idiot

On July 29th, Senator Harry Reid (Dummycrat/NV) brought blithering idiotness to new heights / new lows / whatever.

After the senate tabled the Boehner Bill, Harry "PINKY"  Reid urged Congress to "accept my bill" and said it was "time to come together and compromise"

Compromise = accepting his bill.

Unbelievable?

'Fraid not.

Moran the Moron, Still

At an April 7th Town Hall meeting, U.S. Representative Jim Moran (Dummycrat) answered a military veteran's question by telling him to "sit down or leave".

Moran and the Military Vet

You probably won't see this story on the MSM.

'Date Night' at the State of the Union

For tonight's State of the Union address, some Congressmen have said they would 'cross the aisle'  to show bi-partisanship, a move reputedly proposed by Mark Udall (D/CO).

I find it interesting that a particular political party is suddenly so interested in promoting a show of congressional cooperation (after two years of in-your-face non-cooperation).

A different take on tonight's festivities has been put forth by the Opinionated Fool. He believes that with traditionally separate seating at State of the Union addresses, one can easily see party reaction to the POTUS' statements. But with a Date Night, when the Democrat / current POTUS makes a progressive statement, it will now appear to have a larger show of support.

Republicans just can't seem to see it coming.

Nancy Pelosi: Loser

Yes, indeed.

Ms. Pelosi has lost the Speakership of the House and now, apparently, her mind.

In a 'farewell' speech, Ms. Pelosi actually said, "Deficent reduction has been a priority for us."

Really? The current deficit is over $1,000,000,000,000 - that's one trillion -  and counting.

Some priority.

But wait. It gets better.

Ms. Pelosi declared that "Pay as you go" had been their mantra and "That will change".

Is she >insert whatever politically correct word you want to use to describe someone as "batshit crazy"< ?

No. But she thinks we are and no doubt some people will believe her incredible bullshit.

Dirty Politics 2010

In the Florida governor's race:

Alex Sink violated the rules of the debate (cheated), then lied about it.

In the Florida Fracas for senator:

Charlie Crist, who was first a Republican and now an Independent, and who apparently has said he will caucus with the Democrats if elected, called Kendrick Meek, the Democrat in the race, and encouraged him to drop out. When Meek didn't return the 5 am phone call, Charlie showed up at a Meek campaign event. Throw in Bubba and we have quite the menage-a-trois.

Much ado About Crist-Meek-Clinton
Bubba Clinton Meddles in Senate Race
Bubba Clinton-Meek

In the US House election:

Alan Grayson is running a very nasty re-election campaign. Rumors persist that he has personally funded the campaign of Peg Dunmire (Tea Party candidate*) in order to draw conservative votes away from Dan Webster. Not illegal, but certainly unethical.

Alan Grayson Backing Florida Tea Party

It's interesting that most of the dirty politics, here in Florida at least, seem to be the doing of one particular political party.

(*Note: the Tea Party is not a political party, but rather a political movement)

The Crazy Season

This year's election cycle seems crazier than ever before. Here in Florida, Land of the Hanging Chads, it has reached a  fever pitch of insanity.

First up is Charlie Crist, our governor who governs by calling-in

That's right, he calls in to work because he's been campaigning for US Senator for the last year or so, before he completed his first (and hopefully only) term as governor. This guy is running a campaign ad that exalts his "integrity and honesty". Yeah. Charlie's honesty: Charlie assured us on camera that he was running as a Republican. In April, way behind in the polls, Honest Charlie switched from Republican to Independent. Charlie's integrity: After the flip-flop, he refused to return campaign donations  to his Republican supporters.

Then we have Alan Grayson, the motor-mouth moron who is paid by the taxpayers to represent my district in the US House of Representatives.

Where to start with this guy?  Remember "Die quickly" on the House floor?  Then there was his "Taliban Dan" attack ad, proven false. Let's not forget his campaign to have Angie Langley , private citizen, fined and jailed for expressing her 1st amendment rights. My Congressman IS nuts.

I can't wait until November 3rd.

Stark, Raving Lunatic

At a July 24 California town hall meeting, referring to the mandate in the federal health care bill requiring Americans to purchase medical insurance, Kymberleigh Korpus asked U.S. Rep Pete Stark (D/CA):

"If this legislation is constitutional, what limitations are there on the federal government's ability to tell us how to run our private lives?"

Stark's reply: "I think that there are very few constitutional limits that would prevent the federal government from rules that could affect your private life."

Ms Korpus asked: "... if the government can do this, what can't they?  Is your answer that they can do anything?"

Pete Stark, elected (19 times) to represent the people of California, responded: "The federal government, yes, can do most anything in this country."

As the boos died down, a comment was made that he, and people that think like him, "are destroying this nation."

Pete Stark responded:  "And I guess you're here to save it.  And that makes me very uncomfortable."

Well, Mr Stark. Your idea of an all-powerful federal government does not in any way resemble the Constitution you have sworn (19 times) to uphold.

The Constitution is quite specific about what powers each branch of the federal government has.

The 10th Amendment: "The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

The government exists to serve the people, not the other way around.

Those who believe as Mr. Stark does are indeed destroying this country.

Note:
This is the same guy who last week said denying jobs to illegal aliens could be unconstitutional.

This is the same guy who in 2007, said on the House floor
that the Bush administration was going to spend money "to blow up innocent people if we can get enough kids to grow old enough for you to send to Iraq to get their heads blown off for the president's amusement."

Pelosi: Speaker of Lies

Remember this?
“This leadership team will create the most honest, most open, and most ethical Congress in history”

– Speaker-Elect Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), November, 2006
Remember this?:

Civility and Bipartisanship?   Restoring integrity and honesty?

Well.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district includes San Francisco.

Star-Kist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi's home district.
Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi.
Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan workforce.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband, owns $17 million dollars of Del Monte stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition's.

When the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an 'economic development credit in American Samoa.

Pelosi has called the Bush Administration 'corrupt'.

She should know.

457,000

That's how many new unemployment claims were filed last week.

I wonder how many of those folks voted for Obummer in 2008.

I wonder how many of those folks are happy that the POTUS and the Congress damn near closed up Congress last week (all the committee meetings, etc were canceled because the Dummycrats were summoned for a closed-door meeting) - to the exclusion of all other business, including jobs for Americans.

December 30, 2009

My Congressman IS Nuts

Alan Grayson, Harvard graduate, who represents Florida's 8th district (and me) in the US House of Representatives, now wants to deprive Angie Langley of not only her 1st amendment right to freedom of speech but her personal freedom as well ... because she dared to create a website critical of him.

No kidding.

I have a BS degree from a mere state university, not from a high-falutin' Ivy League Institution of Higher Liberalism, but I DO understand what the 1st Amendment to the Constitution is all about.
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Mr. Grayson swore to "support and defend" the US Constitution.

Apparently he thinks he can pick and choose which parts.

Alan Grayson: Motor-mouth Moron

This is what's representing me in Congress:

FL Dummycrat calls Fed advisor "K Street Whore"

And his staff defends it!

I guess Mr Grayson's little bit of notoriety ( "Die quickly" ) went to his fat head.

Barack Hussein Obama recently referred to this idiot as "an outstanding member of Congress".  (Note: this is after both of Grayson's comments)  I guess Barky Obummer has a much different definition of 'outstanding' than I have.

Grayson is a first, and hopefully single, term Congressman.

778

That's how many earmarks Senators have attached to the 2010 defense appropriations bill.

This is disgusting, but not surprising, which is even more disgusting.

Four government watchdog groups, The Center for Defense Information, National Taxpayers Union, Project on Government Oversight and Taxpayers for Common Sense, wrote a letter to SecDef Gates last week, expressing concern that:
