Bad Week, Worst POTUS

From The Washington Times' Charles Hurt:

The past seven brutal days will go down as one of the worst weeks in history for a sitting president. It certainly has been, without any doubt, the worst week yet for President Obama.
Somehow, Mr. Obama managed to embarrass himself abroad, humiliate himself here at home, see his credentials for being elected so severely undermined that it raises startling questions about whether he should have been elected in the first place — let alone be re-elected later this year.

Consider:

• Last Friday, Mr. Obama wandered into the killing of Trayvon Martin. Aided by his ignorance of the situation, knee-jerk prejudices and tendency toward racial profiling, Mr. Obama played a heavy hand in elevating a tragic situation in which a teenager was killed into a full-blown hot race fight.
Americans, he admonished, need to do some “soul-searching.” And then, utterly inexplicably, he veered off into this bizarre tangent about how he and the poor dead kid look so much alike they could be father and son. It was election-year race-pandering gone horribly wrong.

• By the start of this week, Mr. Obama had fled town and was racing to the other side of the planet just as the Supreme Court was taking up the potentially-embarrassing matter of Obamacare. While in South Korea he was caught on a hidden mic negotiating with the president of our longest-standing rival on how to sell America and her allies down the river once he gets past the next election.

• Meanwhile, back at home, the Supreme Court took up the single most important achievement of Mr. Obama’s presidency and, boy, was it embarrassing. The great constitutional law professor, it turns out, may not quite be the wizard he told us he was.
By most accounts, Mr. Obama and his stuttering lawyers were all but laughed out of the courthouse. They were even stumbling over softball questions lobbed by Mr. Obama’s own hand-picked justices.

• Mr. Obama closed his week pulling off a nearly unimaginable feat: He managed to totally and completely unify the nastily-fighting Democrats and Republicans in Congress. Late Wednesday night, they unanimously voted — 414 to zip — to reject the budget Mr. Obama had presented, leaving him not even a thin lily’s blade to hide behind.

So, in one week, Mr. Obama got caught whispering promises to our enemy, incited a race war, raised serious questions about his understanding of the Constitution, and then got smacked down over his proposed budget that was so wildly reckless that even Democrats in Congress could not support it.
It was as if you lumped Hurricane Katrina and the Abu Ghraib abuses into one week for George W. Bush. And added on top of that the time he oddly groped German Chancellor Angela Merkel and got caught cursing on a hot mic.

Even then, it wouldn’t be as bad as Mr. Obama’s week. You would probably also have to toss in the time Mr. Bush’s father threw up into the lap of Japan’s prime minister. Only then might we be approaching how bad a week it was for Mr. Obama.

Not that you will see any trace of embarrassment in the face of Mr. Obama. He has mastered the high political art of shamelessness, wearing it smugly and cockily. Kind of like a hoodie.

The Vigilante Posse Grows

Add Roseanne Barr's name to the list even though she says she doesn't support vigilantism:

MARCH 29--The comedian Roseanne Barr last night tweeted the home address of George Zimmerman’s parents to her 110,000-plus Twitter followers, only to delete the posting after “not fully understanding that it was private not public.”

“But vigilante-ism is what killed Trayvon. I don’t support that.”
...Then why tweet the address ? ...
But while Barr deleted her original posting, the Zimmermans’s address remains in messages in her Twitter stream. Barr’s original tweet was a retweet of a post by a new Twitter user who appears devoted to disseminating the Zimmermans’s address and phone number, as well as contact information for Joseph Oliver, who has made numerous TV appearances in support of Zimmerman, a friend and former coworker.

Still, the entertainer left open the possibility that she would again circulate the Seminole County address of Zimmerman’s parents.
“If Zimmerman isn’t arrested I’ll rt his address again.”
“maybe go 2 his house myself.”

There is no indication that Zimmerman, who is reportedly in hiding, is holed up in his parents’ residence.

By tweeting the Zimmermans’ address, Barr appears to have violated Twitter rules that state: “You may not publish or post other people's private and confidential information, such as credit card numbers, street address or Social Security/National Identity numbers, without their express authorization and permission.”
Has Twitter dumped Barr or at least suspended her account?

I have no idea as I do not use this 'service'.

But I'll bet she is still tweeting, because she's a so-called celeb, even tho just a C-lister.

So much for due process. This kind of behavior is the same group think that leads to witch hunts. Be careful in your search for justice that you may become what you stand against.

"Celebrity Activists" just might be the most vile, ignorant, uninformed, self-absorbed, pandering a**holes on the planet. Especially the ones who no longer have an actual career.

I find this whole hysteria repugnant. Have ALL of the facts before you organize the lynch mob. Isn't this exactly what all the fuss is about anyway? Would this have spiraled so out of control if the dead boy were white, Asian, Native American or Hispanic? I have been afraid to comment because of this mindless mob who will act first and think (maybe) later, but this is just too much!

Oops, His Bad!

In the rush to judgement, just forget waiting for the facts and evidence, go ahead and trample the innocent.

I hope that Mr. and Mrs. McClain sue the baggy pants off Marcus Davonne Higgins and Spike Lee:

OOPS, my bad!

Some of the 223 comments:

I hope they receive a mountain of cash in a lawsuit against Lee and the other radicals carelessly throwing about their address!

"Star erroneously linked Floridians to man who killed Trayvon Martin".
"Erroneously"? Try stupidly and irresponsibly.

Isn't that nice....Obama's friends are terrorizing an old couple. Of course his look-alike son ( the little angel ) wouldn't want to see that happen. But you know, if some of those old white folks get capped, that would be o.k. because...they are all racist yada yada yada.

It really shows what hateful, spiteful, evil people liberals often are. Zimmerman hasn't been charged with anything. Essentially he's already been acquitted. Eventually the liberals will walk away. And will look for the next innocent person to destroy.

It's so true, and it really is ironic considering the lynch mobs that existed 100 years ago that blacks are so fond of bringing up as proof of modern day racism. The negros are now forming the lynch mob.

Meanwhile, as Jesse Jackson , Al Sharpton and Obama Pursue their war on whitie, the cost of gas and healthcare skyrockets, and millions of easily distracted democrats forget how crappy his hope and change is working out. Oh... And senate democrats submit a budget that will add another 6 trillion dollars of debt.

If these people, Lee et.al., were white they'd be called a lynch mob.

Thank you for quoting the code. It reminded me that Obama administration put out a warning about 'militias' early on, but the warning was about Christian, conservative, returning war heroes in a bad economy. I wonder if they will now do something about this black militia calling for the 'capture of Zimmerman dead or alive' and their stating that if the system does give them justice, they will do it themselves? Or if they will go after Farrakhan for saying that vengeance is now legal? The Black Panthers are calling for vigilante justice, and this could incite riots and murder. Where is Janet 'domestic militias are dangerous' Napolitano in this?

This could classify as terrorist behavior. Just as much as those thugs, the black panthers' putting out a 10k bounty on Zimmerman's head. Question is... where is the DHS? Why aren't they rounding up the punks and throwing their sorry A's into Gitmo with the other terrorists? Oh, I guess their too busy shoving their hands up the underwear of old ladies at the airport. And don't even get me started on Eric Holder, the panther's best homey.

Thought for the Day:

After reading the headlines about the U.S. soldier who shot up Afghanistan civilians, I couldn’t help noticing an irony. There is all this clamor to try this guy quickly and execute him, never mind his having suffered a traumatic brain injury.

Yet Major Nidal Hasan, who shot up Fort Hood while screaming Allah akbar, still hasn’t stood trial, and they are still debating whether he was insane, even with the clear evidence regarding his motive: slay as many infidels as possible.

So we have a guy in a war zone who cracks, and he must be executed immediately. But this Muslim psychiatrist who was stateside in a nice safe office all day murders 13, wounds 29 of our own guys, and they try to argue the poor guy suffered post-traumatic stress syndrome, from listening to real soldiers who had actual battle experience.

Two and a half years later, they still haven’t tried the murderous bastard.

Good Leadership

In an interview on FOX News yesterday, Rep. Allen West (R/FL) articulated the best description of leadership I've heard in a long time:

"Good leadership takes responsibility, not Credit."

Barack Hussein Obama, the Campaigner/Vacationer-in-Chief, should listen up.

Anthropomorphism

The English language has some wonderfully anthropomorphic collective nouns for various groups of animals.

We are all familiar with a Herd of cows, a Flock of chickens, a School of fish, a Gaggle of geese, a Pride of lions, a Murder of crows (as well as their cousins the rooks and ravens), an Exaltation of doves and, presumably because they look so wise, a Parliament of owls.
And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?
Now consider a group of Baboons. They are the loudest, most dangerous, most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all primates.
The proper collective noun for a group of baboons:  a Congress!
I guess that pretty much explains the things that come out of Washington!

(Yes, I know these are chimps, but I didn't have a picture of baboons)

Col. Van T. Barfoot, R.I.P.

A World War II Medal of Honor winner who made headlines for his fight to fly an American flag in his Virginia front yard, has died.

Retired Army Col. Van Thomas Barfoot was 92.

Barfoot gained national attention and even support from the White House in 2009 when he fought to keep his 21-foot flagpole at his Henrico County home after the homeowners association ordered it removed and threatened to sue him.

The association later backed off, but Barfoot's fight led to a state law making it tougher for homeowners associations to restrict the flying of the U.S. flag.
Jim Barfoot told WWBT-TV that his father died Friday after suffering injuries from a fall earlier in the week.

Van Barfoot's "extraordinary heroism, demonstration of magnificent valor, and aggressive determination in the face of pointblank fire" were an inspiration to his fellow troops in World War II and earned him a Congressional Medal of Honor. He also served in Korea and Vietnam, earning a Purple Heart.

Andrew Breitbart, R.I.P.

    Andrew Breitbart
(February 1, 1969 – March 1, 2012):
an American publisher, commentator for the Washington Times, author, occasional guest commentator on various news programs, served as an editor for the Drudge Report Web site.

His stated goal: to "destroy the institutional left."

Mr Breitbart died of an apparent heart attack yesterday.

 From the  Huffington Post
Breitbart considered his charge to expose corruption, hypocrisy and media bias, and leveraged his network of websites to reach for that goal.

Breitbart cut his teeth in the freewheeling world of online media as an editor of the Drudge Report, working in Los Angeles. He also worked with liberal blogger Arianna Huffington, playing an early role in the creation of the Huffington Post, which was founded in 2005.

Matt Drudge, founder of the Drudge Report, said in a message on his website on Thursday that he remembered Breitbart as "a constant source of energy, passion and commitment."

"I still see him in my mind's eye in Venice Beach (in Los Angeles), the sunny day I met him. He was in his mid 20s. It was all there. He had a wonderful, loving family and we all feel great sadness for them today," Drudge wrote.

Mickey Kaus, a liberal writer who blogs at website The Daily Caller, said Breitbart and Huffington managed to collaborate despite their political differences.
From Reuters:
His work helped generate a number of prominent news stories. Those included undercover videos posted on his website about ACORN  and his role in bringing to national attention a sexually suggestive photo Democratic U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner of New York posted through his Twitter page.  That scandal eventually led to Weiner's resignation last year.

In targeting ACORN, or the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, Breitbart posted videos in 2009 by conservative activists who secretly taped employees of the group giving tax advice to a couple posing as a pimp and a prostitute.

The controversy led Congress to deny federal housing funds to ACORN, which disbanded in 2010.
From the  L.A. Times.com

Before launching his own media empire, Breitbart worked for two other industry titans. For 10 years, he worked anonymously as an editor for the Drudge Report. From there, he teamed with Arianna Huffington, whose website the Huffington Post now has a distinctly liberal bent. It was ideological differences with Huffington that led to a break, though he credited her for showing him how to survive vicious attacks with grace.

His own site, Breitbart.com, began as an aggregation site. Soon it branched out, with the launch of Big Hollywood, Big Government, Big Journalism and Big Peace, all designed to counter what Breitbart described as the "bully media cabal" that ignored stories at odds with prevailing liberal orthodoxy.

After Sen. Edward M. Kennedy of Massachusetts died in 2009, Breitbart tweeted, "Rest in Chappaquiddick" and called him "a special pile of human excrement."

Andrew recently wrote a new conclusion to his book, Righteous Indignation:
I love my job. I love fighting for what I believe in. I love having fun while doing it. I love reporting stories that the Complex refuses to report. I love fighting back, I love finding allies, and—famously—I enjoy making enemies.

He will be greatly missed.
