He's Baaaack

"Charlie Crist is up to his usual tricks again, attempting to persuade voters that he's 'for the people' when we really know he's only for Charlie,” _ U.S. Rep Jeff Miller, R-Fla.

Formerly a Rino (Republican in Name Only) ...

then an Independent ...

now a Dummycrat,

Charlie wants the job as Florida's governor...

You remember, the job he had and phoned-in back in 2009 when he ran (unsuccessfully) for the U.S. Senate.

Apparently, Charlie's politics  and party affiliation change depending on whatever political position is the most expedient for the current election season. Examples:

The messy primary fight with (Marco) Rubio in the 2010 Senate race has made him far from the perfect Democratic messenger. He spent much of that race campaigning as a pro-gun, anti-abortion, small-government Republican, saying it would be hard to find anyone more conservative.

When GOP activists and donors rallied around Rubio, Crist mounted an independent bid.

After the loss, he began backing Democrats in state and federal races and campaigned for Obama in last year's election.
His position on abortion issues is not clear-cut.

In 1998, Crist ran for Senate as a pro-choice candidate, and has stated that he opposes overturning Roe vs. Wade ... In the 2010 Senate campaign, Crist first presented himself a pro-life Republican but after he lost the Republican nomination and became an unaffiliated candidate, had all pro-life statements removed from his website...

Crist supported efforts to ban same-sex marriage in Florida, and supported the current ban on adoption by homosexual prospective parents... He shifted in June 2010, when he stated that he no longer supported Florida's ban on same-sex adoption.
"Charlie Crist isn't a man of the people. He's a man of the wind, going wherever it takes him. When faced with the challenges of governing, Charlie Crist shirked his duties in favor of pursuing his next political career move. He should have put personal ambition aside and buckled down to fix Florida's failing economy."_ Freshman U.S. Rep. Ron DeSantis   sunshinestatenews.com

Sorry, Charlie, you will not have my vote.

Charlie Crist: R / I / D

Charlie Crist, former politician, former governor, former U.S. Senate candidate, former Republican, former Independent, is now a Dummycrat.

Charlie quit his job as Governor of Florida after serving one term to run for the U.S. Senate as a Republican.

When he didn't win the primary, he ran as an Independent.

That didn't work either.

But now Charlie is officially a Dummycrat and the expectation is that he will run for governor in 2014. And he just might take the job away from Rick Scott, whose favorability ratings have remained low since taking office.

And he does have 'friends' in high places: Charlie spoke at the 2012 Democratic National Convention in Charlotte, that nominated Barack Hussein Obama for a second term and campaigned for his re-election.
And some folks would vote for Charlie because Obummer says so.

What comes after Republican / Independent / Dummycrat... you know, in case this doesn't work either?  The R/I/D party?  Now there's an idea.  Let's R/I/D ourselves of multiple political parties.  And fickle politicians.

"Charlie Crist's first official act as a Democrat was to tell a lie about why he is now pretending to be one," the Florida GOP said in a statement early Saturday. "The truth is that this self-professed, Ronald-Reagan Republican only abandoned his pro-life, pro-gun, conservative principles in 2010 after he realized that Republicans didn't want to send him to Washington D.C. as a senator, especially after he proved he couldn't do the job as governor."

Dirty Politics 2010

In the Florida governor's race:

Alex Sink violated the rules of the debate (cheated), then lied about it.

In the Florida Fracas for senator:

Charlie Crist, who was first a Republican and now an Independent, and who apparently has said he will caucus with the Democrats if elected, called Kendrick Meek, the Democrat in the race, and encouraged him to drop out. When Meek didn't return the 5 am phone call, Charlie showed up at a Meek campaign event. Throw in Bubba and we have quite the menage-a-trois.

In the US House election:

Alan Grayson is running a very nasty re-election campaign. Rumors persist that he has personally funded the campaign of Peg Dunmire (Tea Party candidate*) in order to draw conservative votes away from Dan Webster. Not illegal, but certainly unethical.

It's interesting that most of the dirty politics, here in Florida at least, seem to be the doing of one particular political party.

(*Note: the Tea Party is not a political party, but rather a political movement)

The Crazy Season

This year's election cycle seems crazier than ever before. Here in Florida, Land of the Hanging Chads, it has reached a  fever pitch of insanity.

First up is Charlie Crist, our governor who governs by calling-in

That's right, he calls in to work because he's been campaigning for US Senator for the last year or so, before he completed his first (and hopefully only) term as governor. This guy is running a campaign ad that exalts his "integrity and honesty". Yeah. Charlie's honesty: Charlie assured us on camera that he was running as a Republican. In April, way behind in the polls, Honest Charlie switched from Republican to Independent. Charlie's integrity: After the flip-flop, he refused to return campaign donations  to his Republican supporters.

Then we have Alan Grayson, the motor-mouth moron who is paid by the taxpayers to represent my district in the US House of Representatives.

Where to start with this guy?  Remember "Die quickly" on the House floor?  Then there was his "Taliban Dan" attack ad, proven false. Let's not forget his campaign to have Angie Langley , private citizen, fined and jailed for expressing her 1st amendment rights. My Congressman IS nuts.

I can't wait until November 3rd.
