Fallen Hero: GY Sgt. Robert Gilbert, Jr, USMC

The letter sat on the dresser for four years.

Robert Gilbert never opened it. He only touched the envelope when he needed to dust around it. He wanted to give it back to his son unopened.


Every time his Marine son was deployed, his son would ask, "You still got my letter?"

His dad never wanted to read what was inside an envelope marked: "Dad, open this if I am wounded. Love, Robert."

The call to open it came March 8.

Well.

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi's home district includes San Francisco.

Star-Kist Tuna's headquarters are in San Francisco, Pelosi's home district.  

Star-Kist is owned by Del Monte Foods and is a major contributor to Pelosi. 

Star-Kist is the major employer in American Samoa employing 75% of the Samoan workforce.

Paul Pelosi, Nancy's husband, owns $17 million dollars of Del Monte stock.

In January, 2007 when the minimum wage was increased from $5.15 to $7.25, Pelosi had American Samoa exempted from the increase so Del Monte would not have to pay the higher wage. This would make Del Monte products less expensive than their competition's.

When the huge bailout bill was passed, Pelosi added an earmark to the final bill adding $33 million dollars for an 'economic development credit in American Samoa.

Pelosi has called the Bush Administration 'corrupt'.

She should know.

Vote Present!

Barack Hussein Obama calls for Congress to have courage, to vote for his job security over their job security, etc.

This is rather ironic coming from  an individual whose Senate (state and federal) voting record consisted primarily of "Present"  votes.


What if they just vote "Present" like Barky used to do?

Many Democratic congressman are showing that they can be bought. Period. 

And it is not with your $5-$10-$20 donations.

When Obummer whined that  "the fate of his presidency hinged on this vote";

 that "a victory was necessary to keep him “strong” for the next three years of his term", 

well, the arm-twisting and brow-beating of undecided and voting-NO  Dummycrats kicked into high gear.

That's how many new unemployment claims were filed last week.

I wonder how many of those folks voted for Obummer in 2008.

I wonder how many of those folks are happy that the POTUS and the Congress damn near closed up Congress last week (all the committee meetings, etc were canceled because the Dummycrats were summoned for a closed-door meeting) - to the exclusion of all other business, including jobs for Americans.

That's the newly announced price tag on the Health Care reform bill.

It's supposed to somehow reduce the deficit.


Obummer has whined to Dummycrats that his presidency depends on passing health care reform - this year.

And so, Madame Pelosi has urged the Dummycrats to sacrifce their jobs, if need be, to pass this legislation, which nobody with a working brain cell wants (in its current form).    Let's start with her job.

The POTUS and Congress have forsaken every other issue - the economy, jobs, foreign policy (well, except for Israel which Obummer has pretty much thrown under the Hope'n Change bus), terrorism, and, oh yeah, that pesky war in Afghanistan, in order to concentrate on health care reform.

I guess community organizers aren't good at multi-tasking or organizing a government?
