Barack Hussein Obama, in an effort to bolster, i.e. create, his so-called foreign policy credentials has taken a Congressional, i.e. campaign, trip to the Middle East and Europe.
Noteworthy stops on his schedule, i.e. agenda, included meeting the troops in Afghanistan, Iraq and Germany. The German stops included visiting wounded troops at the US military hospital in Landstuhl.
He will not visit Landstuhl Regional Medical Center after all.
And why not?
Version #One:
The Democratic presidential candidate thought it would be inappropriate on a campaign-funded journey.
Version #Two:
The Democratic presidential candidate ran short of time; priorities were set; less-useful stops were eliminated.
"The message here is that thousands of screaming German fans at the Tiergarten take precedence over visiting Americans serving their country at Ramstein and Landstuhl. Maybe one of the networks following Obama could interview a few of the soldiers about how they perceive that set of priorities from Obama." - Ed MorrisseyNote to the Junior Senator from Illinois:
It is NEVER inappropriate to visit our military men and women, wounded or otherwise.
It is ALWAYS reprehensible for someone who wants to be Commander in Chief of our military to place foreign nationals ahead of American men and women serving their country in uniform.
